May 2006 - Lure Coursing success for Nubi
On a VERY WET day, and despite the mud,
Nubi won his 2nd Lure Coursing BOB.

March 2006 - Canni-Cross in Bracknell Forest
This was Team Shadowfax's third
outing and the results were 'INTERESTING'.....

Shadowfax 10 Legged Team
(a first attempt at this) of Victor,
Kazbek and
Plush
ran a good time of 12.08 to finish 3rd overall.

Shadowfax 6 Legged Team of 'Denis' & Doushman took the scenic, unmarked route
through the forest and ran not 5 km but 10 km !! They were awarded a
Special Prize for the longest run ~ a half-marathon ! |

March 2006 - Lure Coursing at Newbury
A brave Victor and Masha took Plush for her second day lure coursing
~ it was a tiring day for them and her long-suffering brothers Doushman
and Kazbek. She ran three times, once for fun and once with each
brother.

February 2006 - Cani-Cross - WHAT A RESULT !!
On a very we day two Shadowfax teams entered the races at the Cani-Cross
meeting in Cheltenham. Here they are heading for the finish. |

Cani-cross is a new hobby for Shadowfax hounds - here Masha and
Kazbek compete in the '6-legged' class. Despite de-twigging they
came in 4th place in the team. For more information look in

On 18 September
Doushman won Best of Breed at the Slovenian Sighthound Lure Coursing
Competition - Judge : Pettri Juttilainen (Finland)
Doushman was awarded a Show/Coursing prize for his combined results
for the weekend.
Kazbek won 3rd place.

June 2005
On 26 June
Kazbek won his 3rd Lure Coursing BOB with 72.5 points

May 2005
On 22 May
Nubi had his first major success at Lure Coursing gaining his first
BOB with 80.5 points, narrowly beating his brother Kazbek.

FEBRUARY 2005
16 February
Doushman ran his first Invitation Charity race at Sittingbourne
track. Six Afghans took part and the winner was a very fast Twiggy,
followed by
Kazbek with
Doushman coming a good third. The other three were Lizzie, Cleo and
Zak who all finished very close behind. Proceeds go to Greyhound Rescue
and dogs and owners had a great evening.

OCTOBER 2004
On 25 October SEAR organised a Charity Race as part of a greyhound
meeting at Crayford track, London. Six Afghans took part and
Kazbek won this exciting race by a short distance.
OCTOBER 2004
| At the end of the 2004 season Doushman
becomes the top Lure Courser All Breeds for the second year with a
record number of BOBs. The second spot is taken by a whippet with Kazbek

OCTOBER 2004
At the last meeting of the year Doushman
wins his 7th BOB finishing the year as Top Afghan. Kazbek
wins his class with
brother Nubi
a very close second.
SEPTEMBER 2004 RACING AT THE INTERTRACK
This was a first for the boys! Kazbek was
part of the SEAR team and Doushman was in the Reserve Team. They both worked hard for their team
and Kazbek won the Ali Parkes Trophy for the 2nd Fastest Time by a Dog
with 23.12 secs while Doushman won the Ladbroke Trophy for the Fastest
Reserve Team Dog and a Rosette for the Fastest Reserve Afghan with 24.06
secs.
SEPTEMBER 2004
 The longest and by far the most difficult course this year ended with two brothers getting an equal score - both Doushman and Kazbek had 76.5 points after the morning and afternoon runs. They had to run again for the BOB and the winner this time was ... Kazbek who won his 2nd BOB.

AUGUST 2004
After last month's results, we thought that from now on Doushman will give way to
his little brother ... but we were wrong! Doushman won again (this is
his 6th BOB), with Kazbek coming a close second.
JULY 2004
Just 12 months old and the
new Shadowfax generation is proving that they are more than just pretty
faces in the ring. Kazbek and Nubi have joined in this
month and finished 1st and 2nd in their class respectively. Not only
that, but Kazbek went on to win BOB by beating his big
brother and kennel mate Doushman and losing just 0.5 point to
the Best in Field Whippet. Kazbek is the only Afghan who beat Doushman
in the field this year.
JUNE 2004
Doushman does it again! Third time out on the
field and Doushman wins his third BOB
this year ... and goes Best in Filed!!! Kazbek was competing
for the first time and he won his class, coming second overall in
Afghans, just 3.5 points behind his big brother.

Fin Ch Shadowfax Stepnoi Veter JW, LM is the lure coursing
star of our kennel, with six BOBs and two Best in Fields under his paws. He ended his first
coursing season in 2003 as
BSFA's
Top
Lure Courser of all breeds,
having won two BOBs and a Best in Field during the year. He started 2004
by winning his third BOB at the first meeting, thus gaining the title of
Lure Courser of Merit (LM).

| Young Kazbek has been trying his paws at fun
runs since he was 4 months old. Kazbek started to compete this year and won his class every time, winning one BOB
along the way. |

We also try to attend racing
meetings when not showing or lure coursing. Our new racing star is Kazbek - he has only been to the racetrack three times so far, but he has really taken to it. Kazbek won all his races with and was invited to compete for SEAR team at the Intertrack this September. Below are a couple of photos of Doushman from the
